For us, trees represent more than just planting, they symbolize our dedication to building a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come. Together, we can make a real difference!

CE Power was honored to participate as a business, and as a committed voice for environmental action to take meaningful steps toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable planet.

Our team actively engaged in the World Environmental Day activities, including tree planting exercises, awareness campaigns, and community conversations on how businesses and individuals can reduce plastic waste. We also shared our thoughts on how innovation and collective responsibility can drive real progress toward ending plastic pollution. At CE Power, we believe trees represent more than environmental restoration; trees symbolize hope, regeneration, and our shared responsibility to future generations. Each tree planted is a pledge to do better, live cleaner, and act smarter both as individuals and as a company.

We are proud to stand with organizations that are leading the charge for change. Together, through small consistent actions, we can make a lasting impact not just on World Environment Day, but every day. As we continue to innovate in the power and energy sector, our mission remains clear: to grow, lead responsibly, and support causes that help restore our environment.

The theme for World Environment Day 2024 was "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience: Our Land, Our Future." We were featured in several online news publications, including The Guardian and The Sun Newspaper, which came to interview and cover the event. This project provided back-to-school kits to 100 deserving students across 10 schools in Ibadan, Oyo State. The essence of the project was to give back to the community where the company conducts business and to support educational reforms. 50% of the student beneficiaries performed brilliantly during their promotional examinations into JSS2, while the other 50% were carefully selected indigent students from underprivileged backgrounds to encourage them financially.

The company believes equipping young minds with the necessary tools empowers them to embrace education and fulfill their potential. The school kits were designed to cater to JSS2 grade levels, including notebooks, stationery, backpacks, uniforms, sandals, raincoats, and mathematical sets.

Everyone was encouraged to immerse themselves in the centre’s rich biodiversity, witnessing nature up close—from the forest canopy to diverse wetland species—reinforcing the interdependence of all living organisms.

By providing engaging educational sessions on sustainability and emphasizing the importance of nurturing our surroundings, participants departed with a renewed sense of purpose. It also served as an excellent opportunity for team bonding outside the office environment.

This Recognition and Appreciation Award reflects our commitment to nurturing talent, promoting continuous learning, and empowering every member of our workforce. The award was accepted by our Executive Director, Lady Cheta Nwabuike, and Ms. Tonia Oriaku at the official ceremony.
